Aesthetic Death Records ist ein 1992 gegründetes Independentlabel aus Worcestershire, das vornehmlich Doom-Metal-Bands unter Vertrag nimmt. Zu den bekanntesten Vertretern gehören Eibon, Esoteric und Fleurety.

Philosophie

Stu Gregg gründete 1992 Aesthetic Death als Vertriebsunternehmen. Von Beginn an betreibt er das Label allein. Seit 1993 verlegt das Label Extreme- und Doom-Metal-Bands, dabei räumte Greggein, dass er eine Vorliebe für Musik habe die „slow, heavy“ und „dark“ sei. Er suche nach düsterer, introvertierter, ernsthafter und nachdenklicher Musik. Die Bands, welche er Verlege wähle er nicht aufgrund ihrer Bekanntheit oder optionaler Verkaufsmöglichkeiten aus, sondern aus persönlicher Verbundenheit.

Dabei versteht Gregg das Verhältnis von Aesthetic Death zu den unter Vertrag stehenden Bands als familiär.
