Ein BitTorrent-Client ist ein Anwendungsprogramm, mit dem man Dateien über das BitTorrent-Protokoll herunterladen und verteilen kann. Der erste BitTorrent-Client BitTorrent wurde 2002 von Bram Cohen entwickelt. Dieser ist auch der Entwickler des Protokolls.
