Die ProCredit Holding AG ist eine Holding mit Sitz in Frankfurt am Main. Sie hält derzeit 21 Banken, die sich auf die Vergabe von Mikrokrediten und weiteren Mikrofinanzdienstleistungen spezialisiert haben. Zielgruppe sind sehr kleine, kleine und mittlere Unternehmen sowie Sparer der unteren und mittleren Einkommensgruppen, die bisher nur begrenzten Zugang zu Finanzdienstleistungen haben. Sie ist vor allem in den Schwellenländern des Balkans, Lateinamerikas und Afrikas sowie in Armenien, Georgien und der Ukraine aktiv.
Sie geht zurück auf die 1998 gegründete Internationale Micro Investitionen AG und wird geleitet von Helen Alexander, Gabriel Schor und Anja Lepp.
Die ProCredit Banken sind in 21 Staaten mit ca. 740 Filialen und ca. 15.600 Beschäftigten vertreten. Am 31. Dezember 2010 waren 625.000 Kredite mit einem Kreditvolumen von 3,6 Milliarden Euro und einem durchschnittlichen Kreditbetrag von 5.800 Euro vergeben.[1]
