cbs Corporate Business Solutions Unternehmensberatung GmbH is a global consulting firm headquartered in Heidelberg, Germany.
The company specializes in the design of end-to-end business processes, enterprise solutions based on SAP software and cloud technology, along with the transformation of data and ERP systems (Enterprise Resource Planning) for industrial customers in the mechanical and plant engineering, pharmaceutical, chemical, automotive, life science and medical technology sectors.
History

cbs was founded in 1995 by Harald Sulovsky and Tarek Kramer under the name microsap.[2] In the following year, cbs moved into an office in Heidelberg for the first time and opened a branch in Munich. In 1997, the company changed its name to cbs Corporate Business Solutions. In 2005, cbs became part of the IT service provider Materna.[3] In 2018, the company moved into a new building in the Bahnstadt district Bahnstadt in Heidelberg.[4]
In 2021, company founder Harald Sulovsky handed over the role of CEO to Rainer Wittwen, who has remained at the position ever since. [5]
Group structure
[Bearbeiten | Quelltext bearbeiten]cbs has been part of Materna, based in Dortmund, since 2005. In 2014, cbs acquired the logistics specialist and cloud provider leogistics from Hamburg.[6] In spring 2022, cbs acquired the manufacturing and IoT specialist Trebing + Himstedt .[7] In May 2023, cbs announced the acquisition of the human experience management specialist projekt0708.[8] In March 2024, cbs integrated the product lifecycle management consultancy EPS Flow.[9]
In total, cbs has ten offices in Germany, six more locations in Europe, three in the USA and one each in Singapur, Malaysia and Japan.
