Indica lungo una strada extraurbana a forte pendenza una corsia supplementare riservata e obbligatoria per i veicoli commerciali costretti a procedere a velocità ridotta. Introdotto come figura 88 del Regolamento del Testo Unico del 1959 e formalmente abolito nel 1992 (anche se segnali con una diversa grafica vennero introdotti nel 1969 con la circolare relativamente alla viabilità autostradale).
