- David L. Kennedy hält es für möglich, dass Marcellus die Ala Parthorum (Cappadocia) kommandierte. Er schreibt: If we accept the existence of an ala Parthorum sagittariorum in Cappadocia, it would also explain some of the difficulties in the previous text (no. 3) and allow us to regard Fulcinius' cavalry command as being in the East with this unit.
