Nutzloses Wort?[Quelltext bearbeiten]
Ich halte das Wort Sauerstoffbrücke durch die im Artikel gesetzte Definition für so unscharf, dass es mir nutzlos erscheint. Weder Furan noch Caprolacton haben eine Brücke in ihrer Struktur. Vermutlich ist dieser begriffliche Schrotthaufen hier und in Fachbüchern aus der unscharfen (und veralteten) Definition der IUPAC entstanden. Gold Book hat seine Definition noch aus dem Blue Book von 1979! Die aktuelle Ausgabe vom Blue Book ist leider nicht frei zugänglich, aber ein Draft von 2004. Hier wird nun für eine Brücke ausdrücklich zwei Brückenköpfe gefordert. Dies erfüllt Oxanorbornadien und ich kann hier eine Sauerstoffbrücke identifizieren. Unten der Eintrag aus Gold Book und Auszüge aus dem Draft von 2004 aus Abschnitten, die sich mit "Definitions and terminology" beschäftigen.

A valence bond or an atom or an unbranched chain of atoms connecting two different parts of a molecule. The two tertiary carbon atoms connected through the bridge are termed bridgeheads.
