Unfortunately, a conflict has arisen over time regarding the username "Joy" at the German Wikipedia, one that I'm compelled to ask you about.
I've used Wikipedia for a long time, but mainly the English-language version, not the German one, where I did not make any edits. I was logged in as "Joy" over there, but never over here.
At some point, you registered this account on the German Wikipedia and started using it, too.
Over time, the German Wikipedia started including content from the English one, including my edits. See the long list at Special:Contributions/Joy. However, they were now no longer attributed to me, but to you. This is not a problem that either of us have caused, I'm not sure who did, but it exists and it should be fixed.
The same kind of confusion could happen in the other direction - if someone happens to import your German edits into a Wikipedia of some other language. In fact, even if there was no explicit confusion such as this one caused by these imports, it would still be somewhat confusing to have one "Joy" in English and another in German and yet another in any other language.
In order to prevent this situation from getting any worse, I've entered into a process of getting a unified login account "Joy" for all Wikimedia instances. It has been going on for a while, pretty steady, using the a "usurpation" procedure for "Joy" accounts where inactive users are compelled to relinquish the name in my favor.
However I'm now stuck here because the German Wikipedia administrators (bureaucrats) aren't allowed to even start this procedure here, given that you have a history of own contributions back in 2004 and 2008.
Hence, I have to ask you myself - would you be willing to relinquish the username "Joy"? You could pick any other available username, and the difference doesn't have to be major - a single different character would suffice.
I realize that this may come as an unpleasant surprise to you. I noticed that you seemed to leave some sort of a complaint at your user page last year. However, given that I've made extensive contributions using this username, that pretty much dwarf all others, I feel that I have earned the right to make this kind of a request.
