Thomas Berry (Theologe)
Thomas Berry (* 9. November 1914) ist ein katholischer Theologe und Kulturhistoriker. Er ist besonders als Vertreter der Tiefenökologie bekannt geworden.
Er lehrte hat an vielen Universitäten über das kulturelle Erbe Chinas und Indiens. Er fungierte viele Jahre als Präsident der "Internationalen Teilhard de Chardin-Gesellschaft". Er widmete sich in seinen Büchern der interdisziplinären religiösen Forschung sowie der Tiefenökologie. 1970 begründete er das Riverdale Centers für religiöse Forschung in Riverdale, New York. Er ist Ehrenmitglied des Club of Budapest International.
