Klaus Dellmann [Sign. K. Del], born in 1938 in Berlin/Germany, studied business administration, not art, but he pursued an interest in painting from his early years. While following a career as a full professor of BA at various universities in Germany and Switzerland, it was until 1999 that KD turned to start painting. Largely self-taught, KD is painting a wide variety of abstract, colourful objects, transforming reality into imaginery. Recently he started portraiting persons. His ambition is to bring a fresh, innovative approach to portraiture, capturing the inner personality and energy of the individual.   KD lives near Berne/Switzerland. Travels to Asia (Afghanistan, Birma, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Nepal, Malaysia, Thailand), South- and North-America and numerous countries in Europe broadened his horizon for art and culture.   KD exhibited as an abstract artist 2001 Berne / Switzerland 2003 Villa Mazzi, Fiesole / Italy 2003 Engelberg / Switzerland 2004 Port d' Andratx / Spain 2004 Mannheim / Germany but primarily you can have a look at his paintings via Internet.
