Claudius Hollyband

Claudius Hollyband (* 1534 in Moulins; † November 1594 in London) war ein britischer Romanist, Fremdsprachendidaktiker und Lexikograf französischer Herkunft.

Leben und Werk

Claude de Sainliens kam 1564 als hugenottischer Glaubensflüchtling nach London und publizierte unter dem Namen Claudius Holyband (oder Hollyband oder Holliband) fremdsprachendidaktische Werke betreffend das Französische und Italienische.
