krusevo is an absolutely lovely place, and well worth visiting. but pls dont make it into something it is not: the highest town in the balkans. even in the official macedonian govmnt info it just, correctly, says ... Krushevo is the highest town in the Republic of Macedonia, with its elevation of over 1300 m ... , which is close to correct: the central part is at about 1250m (postoffice etc), with plenty of houses stretching another 100m further up. sure, there are mountains around that go higher, and they might also be within the municipality of krusevo, but by common understanding, and feeling, the center of the city (train/bus station, center square) is what counts (and is easily verifiable: just use GoogleEarth).

the actually highest city in the balkans is not far away: Zabljak (1465 m) in montenegro! properly measured, in the center!
