The Game Science Center was opened in September 2014. It is a museum, event space and also an expertise center for interactive installations and gaming technology focusing on innovative user-interfaces. The museum is independently built and run by a small team in Berlin Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg.

The museum was founded by Cay Kellinghusen and Cyrill Etter, two ex-game developers with a the goal to provide a space for everyone to experience new technology first-hand. The exhibitions shows about 25 exhibits of sound- and visual installations and games from independet developers beyond modern PC and console gaming. All exhibits are interactively usable for the visitors and are meant to experiment with gestures, eye-movement or voice. The main motivation of the museum is to familiarize visitors of all ages with innovative concepts and the conjunction of science, technology and art.
