Janko Brand was born 1979 is a German scientist, born in Aachen, we was educated at the TU Darmstadt and the FU Berlin and received his Ph.D. in 2012 from the FU Berlin while working at the Max-Delbrück-Centrum für Molekulare Medizin in der Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft in Berlin. Dr. Brand could solve the 3D Structure of the mammalian protein Stomatin and characterized its binding to the class of Acid-sensing ion channel (ASICS) important to the pain sensation.
