Michael Pewny (born November 11, 1963, Vienna, Austria) is a Blues, Boogie Woogie and Jazz Piano player from Austria.

As a son of an Insurance Director Leopold, as making music runs in the family, he started playing classical Piano at the age of six. Beside of that he studied at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, Danube University Krems and Vienna Conservatory from 1991 to 2006. At age thirteen, he taught himself to play Blues & Boogie Woogie Piano by listening to old records of his favourite piano Players Albert Ammons, Pete Johnson and Meade Lux Lewis. Pewny[1] has been on stage for 35years. He used to play concerts with Bill Haley & His Comets, Axel Zwingenberger, Wanda Jackson, Vince Weber, Al Copley, Tony Sheridan, Linda Lewis, Bob Seeley, Little Willie Littlefield, Big Jay McNeely, Silvan Zingg, Carl Sonny Leyland, Stella Jones, Karen Carroll, Dana Gillespie and much more. He toured all around the World and played concerts and festivals in Vienna, New Orleans, Chicago, Paris, Cincinnati, La Roquebrou, Ermelo, Ecaussines,Danzig, Warsaw, Budapest, Hamburg, Kitzbühel and Munich. Bellaphon Records released 15 CDs also under Pewny`s Label Susy Records founded in 1999. From 2007 to 2014 Pewny was artist director of the internat. Blues & Boogie Woogie Piano Festival in Brunn am Gebirge, Austria.
