My political background: windows3.1 -> windows 98 -> windows 2000 -> redhat 8 (only gnome) -> redhat 9 (almost KDE) -> SuSE 9.0 (almost KDE) -> SuSE 9.1 (nearly only KDE) -> SUSE 9.2 (only KDE) -> SUSE 9.3 -> SUSE 10.0 + SUPER and parts of it's modified KDE (gnome independent as possible) -> after Novell annouced to change SUSE's focus to gnome I started to search a new distro -> Kubuntu with minimal gnome/gtk stuff
