Hello. I see that you added the image call Lsf.gif to the article titled nonlinear regression. I wonder if this is based on a misunderstanding of what nonlinear regression is. Among non-statisticians, it is often erroneously thought that linear regression is called "linear" simply because one is fitting a line. In fact, fitting a polynomial to a scatterplot in the way that this image appears to do, is also linear regression, because the vector of least-squares estimates of the coefficients depends in a linear way on the vector of y-values. • I am aware of the difference between a non-linear regression and linear regression using a non-linear model. You are absolutely right, the image was accidently added to the wrong article and I forgot to remove it. -JN

Hello, I suppose you created image Image:Lcg 3d.gif. In the description of this image there is written "created with maple: http://nestel.net/maple/lcg/lcg_3d.html" but the link doesn't work. Could you please show me the source code of your program? Or at least constants A, B and M? If you have time, please answer to cs:Wikipedista diskuse:Jx. Thank you, very much. --147.230.151.146 23:11, 21. Jan. 2007 (CET)Beantworten
