Beschreibung
English: Pictured is part of the Italian convoy from the Provisional Reconstruction Team that set out for the Farsi district of Afghanistan during Operation OQAB. A Puma helicopter from the International Security Assisatnce Force is seen flying overhead.

Based at Herat, Afghanistan, the PRT were tasked to carry out Civil Military Co-operation operations (CIMIC) and Psychological Operations (PSYOPS) in the remote areas of the Farsi district. It took two full days over dangerous terrain, to reach some of the outermost areas.

The convoy consisted of the Quick Reaction Force (QRF), the Herat PRT/CIMIC, PSYOPS and members of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team.
