ISAM is the synonym for the International Society for Aerosols in Medicine, see www.isam.org. This is an organisation that brings together scientists from all over the world, which do research in the field of Aerosols and Medicine. These aerosols can either be environmental aerosols (air pollution) and the health aspects of such inhaled pollutants. Or these aerosols can be therapeutic or diagnostic aerosols, which are used to diagnose or treat (mainly) lung diseases. The most popular inhaled aerosols are asthma drugs.
