C6H6O ---> C6H5OH. Thank you, DGtal (Diskussion) 00:15, 13. Sep. 2012 (CEST)

This is not a mistake. C6H6O is absolutely correct according to the Hill-System.--Mabschaaf 09:13, 13. Sep. 2012 (CEST)
It may be correct by Hill, but Hill is much less common that the standard method, where you gain a clear representation of the -OH functional group. DGtal (Diskussion) 09:39, 13. Sep. 2012 (CEST)
Standard Method? This is just your point of view. In deWP there is no question that the formula in the Infobox has to be according the Hill system. You will not find any exception against this rule for organic compounds. We also differenciate sharply between a Summenformel (for which the Hill System is one possible notation) and a Konstitutionsformel (I am sorry, I am not sure for the correct translation of these terms, may be you are able to understand the difference from the German articles).--Mabschaaf 09:55, 13. @DGtal: Don't change the message about the result of the investigations of Auguste Laurent without a reference. --Roland.chem (Diskussion) 12:45, 13. Sep. 2012 (CEST)
