Psychologische Aspekte des Klimawandels betreffen das menschliche Verhalten und Erleben in Bezug auf die Verursachung und die Folgen der globalen Erwärmung.

Geschichte

Im Jahr 2009 thematisierte der Präsident der American Psychological Association (APA), Alan Kazdin, in seiner Presidential Address das Thema Psychologie und globale Umweltprobleme. Klimawandel und verwandte Probleme würden zu ihrer Lösung multiple Strategien von verschiedenen Disziplinen benötigen. Die Psychologie könne dabei einen wesentlichen Beitrag leisten.[1]

Die APA gründete eine Arbeitsgruppe zum Thema Psychologie und Klimawandel („Task Force on the Interface Between Psychology and Global Climate Change“), die 2009 einen Bericht zum aktuellen Forschungsstand veröffentlichte.[2]

2011 veröffentlichte die American Psychological Association in ihrer Fachzeitschrift American Psychologist eine Sonderausgabe zum Thema Psychologie und Klimawandel („Psychology and Global Climate Change“).[3]
