Johannes VIII. (Gegenpapst)
Der Gegenpapst Johannes VIII. wurde 844 nach dem Tod von Papst Gregor IV. von der Bevölkerung Roms zum Papst erhoben. Als kurz darauf Sergius II. zum rechtmäßigen Papst gewählt wurde, verurteilte dieser Johannes zu einer Klosterhaft.
