Residue ist keine dreiteilige (Mini-)Serie![Quelltext bearbeiten]
Drehbuchautor und Schöpfer der Serie, John Harrison, sagte bereits 2015 in einem Interview (https://www.indiewire.com/feature/how-to-sell-a-tv-show-to-netflix-63562/), dass es sich bei Staffel 1 nur um eine ausgedehnte Pilotfolge handelt und man diese auch als solche betrachten sollte ("Season 1 is really an extended pilot and should be thought of that way”).
Die Produzentin, Charlotte Walls, bestätigte 2019, dass eine zweite Staffel in Planung ist. (https://seriable.com/residue-season-2-plans-confirmed-netflix/). Netflix hat jedoch bis heute keine zweite Staffel bestätigt.
