Incorrect tag

[Quelltext bearbeiten]

Just to note, the tag on this article is incorrect. The editor adding it has misread the source and mistakenly concluded the invalid votes are zero. However, they are actually unknown (hence why it is left as '---', just like the valid votes and no votes. The percentages are possible, as demonstrated on en.wiki. If anyone wants to remove the tag, I would fully support doing so. Number 57 (Diskussion) 15:17, 18. Dez. 2020 (CET)Beantworten

That is why I amended the tag; the info is still inconclusive, as not all figures are given but are available (I just do not have the full book of Dr du Pisani) --Chtrede (Diskussion) 15:20, 18. Dez. 2020 (CET)Beantworten
The tag still states the numbers (which I assume means the percentages) are inconsistent, which is not right (as I have demonstrated it is feasible to get these percentages by filling in the gaps in a way that it adds up); the issue is simply that the no and invalid votes are unknown. Pisani (1986, Continuity and Change) notes that there were 32 123 registered voters, but 52 000 voters in total were eligible to vote. Pisani also writes that consequently 61,8% participated in the election in 18 (!) constituencies on 17 May 1977. The information on page 384 is therefore incomplete (only 14 constituencies). Further: „Approximately 5,29 per cent, or 1700, opposed the Turnhalle’s proposed constitutional model ...“. This is identical with the specifications in the SAIRR Survey/1977: „During may, a referendum … among white voters …“ and „About 61 per cent of the total electorate of 32 029 endorsed the plan. Only about 1 700 voted "no".“ This source is incomplete and therefore irritating. --Lysippos (Diskussion) 20:47, 18. Dez. 2020 (CET)Beantworten
Where does the 32,029 come from? --Chtrede (Diskussion) 11:59, 27. Okt. 2021 (CEST)Beantworten
