Kann mich jemand aufklären warum der Mann im Internet z.B. hier (http://kapitza.ras.ru/history/PLKapitza/main.html) auf der Seite seines Institutes meist mit "t" geschrieben wird?--Superhappyboy 17:40, 25. Jan. 2009 (CET)

Russische Akademie der Wissenschaften vs. Russische Akademie der Naturwissenschaften

Hallo, es ist unstrittig, dass Kapiza Mitglied der Russische Akademie der Wissenschaften ist. Den Begriff "Russische Akademie der Naturwissenschaften" habe ich aber bei Google nur im Zusammenhang mit einer unseriösen Organisation gefunden (siehe etwa 1, 2), von der ich jetzt mal nicht annehme, dass Kapiza dort ebenfalls Mitglied ist. Möglicherweise liegt hier auch ein Missverständnis vor, aber solange diese unseriöse Assoziation besteht, sollte sie zumindest erklärt werden. Gruss --Darian 15:41, 12. Nov. 2010 (CET)

So that's the case. Sergei Petrowitsch Kapiza is RANS (Russian Academy of Natural Sciences) member [1], [2]. He's not RAS member. His father, Pjotr Leonidowitsch Kapiza (1894-1984), was RAS (then the Academy of Sciences of the Soviet Union) member (full member, i.e. academician) [3]. -- Badger M. 18:17, 12. Nov. 2010 (CET)

Okay, I have no way of checking this, as I can't even read Cyrillic letters. But if Kapiza is no member of the RAS, this is wrongly stated both in the German and English WP articles, and also in the other source cited in the article (1). There it is stated that he is working at the Kapiza-Institute for physical problems at the Russian Academy of Sciences, which was named after his father. Is this wrong? Best --Darian 13:16, 13. No, that's right. But there is the difference between working at Kapiza-Institute for physical problems at the Russian Academy of Sciences and being elected as a member of Russian Academy of Sciences. The number of RAS employees is approximately 100 thousands [4]. And there are appr. 470 full, 740 corresponding and 250 foreign members of RAS. Finally, that's Kapiza-Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, but not the man. -- Badger M. 16:36, 13. Nov. 2010 (CET)
