Die Vorlage „Schachbrett“ ist das Ergebnis von Diskussionen und Abstimmungen, die in WikiProject Chess on Meta-Wiki stattgefunden haben. Sie basiert auf einer Vorlage „Chess position“, die in der englischsprachigen Wikipedia verbreitet benutzt wird. Sowohl die Vorlage als auch die Bilder der Figuren wurden verändert.

Syntax

Eine Einbindung mit der alten Syntax ist nicht mehr möglich. Einbindungen oder externe Beispiele nach der alten Syntax können aber mit Vorlage:Schachbrett/Konvertieren umgeformt werden.

Zur Angabe der Stellung gibt es zwei Möglichkeiten. In der ersten Form ist es möglich alle in der Legende unten genannten Figuren zu verwenden.

Für Positionen des klassichen Schachspiels ist auch die Angabe der Stellung mit Hilfe der Forsyth-Edwards-Notation möglich.

Parameter:

  • Ausrichtung – legt die horizontale Ausrichtung des Diagramms auf der Seite fest; zulässige Werte sind "links", "zentriert" und "rechts"; darf leer sein
  • Titel – der Text, der oberhalb des Diagramms erscheint; darf leer sein
  • FEN – die Stellung in Forsyth-Edwards-Notation codiert; darf leer sein, dann muss die Stellung mit den Parametern Z8 bis Z1 beschrieben werden.
  • Z8 bis Z1 - die Stellung: <a8>, <b8>, … <h1> – jeweils zwei Zeichen, welche die Belegung des betreffenden Felds festlegen. Zulässige Werte siehe unter "Legende".
  • Beschreibung – der Text, der unterhalb des Diagramms erscheint; darf leer sein
  • center=1 – zentriert die Beschreibung unter dem Schachbrett, wenn ein beliebiger Wert angegeben ist (üblicherweise wird 1 verwendet)

  • Falls du das Zeichen "=" im Titel oder in der Beschreibung verwenden möchtest, musst du es in nowiki-Elemente einschließen oder durch &#61; ersetzen.
  • Du kannst Formatierungen wie fett oder kursiv benutzen.
