Der Phallus indusiatus (früher Dictyophora indusiata) ist eine Pilzart aus der Gattung der Stinkmorcheln.
Die Art Phallus indusiatus kommt in den Tropen vor, einschließlich Afrika (Kongo,[1] Nigeria,[2] Uganda[3] und Zaire[4]), Südamerika (Brasilien[5] Guyana,[6] und Venezuela[7]), Zentralamerika (Costa Rica)[8] und Tobago.[9] In Nordamerika kommt sie nur in Mexiko vor.[10] Asiatische Standorte sind Indonesien, Malaysia,[11] Indien,[12] Südchina, Japan[13] und Taiwan.[14] Sie wurde auch in Australien gefunden.[15]
Der Pilz wächst am besten bei Temperaturen zwischen 21 °C und 25 °C mit 45–85 % relativer Luftfeuchtigkeit.[16] Sie ist saprophytisch. In China wird er in Bambushainen gefunden.
Im Jahr 2001 wurde die Entdeckung publiziert, wonach das Riechen am Pilz einen weiblichen Orgasmus auslösen könne.[17]
Merkmale
Makroskopische Merkmale
Das 15 bis 25 mm durchmessende Hexenei ist kugelförmig bis umgekehrt eiförmig (obovoid) und gelblich weiß bis bräunlich weiß gefärbt. Das zylindrische, unpigmentierte Receptaculum erreicht eine Länge von 100 bis 150 mm und einen Durchmesser von 10 bis 30 mm. [18][19]
Mikroskopische Eigenschaften
Die elliptischen Sporen sind glatt, farblos und 2,5 bis 4 μm lang und 1 bis 2 μm breit. [18][19]
