Die in Glasgow[1] geborene Dobson studierte Psychologie an der University of Edinburgh.[2]

Segeln

Dobson wurde mit 14 Jahren in die Nationalmannschaft Schottlands im Segeln aufgenommen.[2] 2001 gewann sie eine Bronzemedaille bei derJuniorenweltmeisterschaft in der Laser-Radial-Klasse; in den Jahren 2002 und 2004 sicherte sie sich jeweils die Silbermedaille. Bei den 49erFX-Weltmeisterschaften 2015 in San Isidro, Argentinien wurden Dobson und Ainsworth fünfte und verfehlten eine Medaille um vier Punkte.[10]
