CORPUS SIREO is - according to market analyses - the largest independent real estate asset management service provider in Germany. Acting on behalf of the company's customers, approximately 550 employees at 11 locations in Germany and Luxembourg manage commercial and residential premises covering a floor space of approximately 15 million square metres and with a value of approximately 16.3 billion euros (as of 10/2014), including institutional assets of 2.3 billion euros. According to Bell Real Estate Asset Management Report, CORPUS SIREO is the leading asset management service provider in Germany.

In 1962, Martin Zimmer founded a real estate company in Köln ; the real estate activities of this company were sold in two Tranchen to Deutsche Bank between 1987 and 1993. In 1995, Corpus Immobiliengruppe GmbH & Co. KG was founded as a joint venture of the M. Zimmer Group and Stadtsparkasse Köln. At the same time, Michael Zimmer became CEO. In 2001,Stadtsparkasse Düsseldorf, became involved, followed by Frankfurter Sparkasse in 2003. In the summer of 2014, the Swiss insurance Group Swiss Life acquired a 100% stake in the CORPUS SIREO Group.

In 1998, Corpus Immobiliengruppe acquired 11,000 apartments from Deutsche Post AG. In December 2004, Thyssen-Krupp sold the housing portfolio of the company, comprising 48,000 apartments in the Ruhr valley region, for a figure of € 2.1 billion to Immeo, a syndicate of the Morgan Stanley Bank and the Corpus Group. The portfolio included 20,000 apartments in Duisburg, 5,500 in Düsseldorf, 11,000 in Essen, 4,400 in Mülheim an der Ruhr, 2,800 in Oberhausen and 1,200 in Gelsenkirchen as well as 370 employees.

In 2007, Corpus Immobiliengruppe GmbH & Co. KG merged with Sireo Real Estate GmbH to form the current CORPUS SIREO Group with six divisions (Investment Management, Asset Management Commercial, Asset Management Retail, Asset Management Residential, Project Development, Broker). The company currently trading under the name CORPUS SIREO Asset Management Commercial GmbH was established in 2001 as a joint venture of Deutsche Telekom AG (51%), Morgan Stanley Bank AG (24.5%) and Corpus Immobiliengruppe GmbH & Co. KG (24.5% each), with the aim of managing the real estate portfolio of Deutsche Telekom AG in Germany and also with the aim of safeguarding the interests of Deutsche Telekom AG with regard to its real estate portfolio. The founding of the subsidiary SIM Sireo Investment Management S.à r.l. with registered office in Luxembourg (today: CORPUS SIREO Investment Management S.à r.l.) established the Investment Management division in addition to the existing divisions of Asset Management, Corporate Real Estate Services and Financial Services. As of 1 April 2006, the shareholdings were as follows: Corpus Immobiliengruppe GmbH & Co. KG (50.4%), Deutsche Telekom AG (25.1%) and Morgan Stanley Bank AG (24.5%). All of the shares were acquired by Corpus Immobiliengruppe in 2007.

In 2009, Michael Zimmer handed over responsibility as CEO to Ralph Günther, the previous managing director of Investment and Service.

The CORPUS SIREO Group, formerly trading as Corpus Immobiliengruppe GmbH & Co. KG, was founded in 1995, and now operates with a structure comprising six divisions. CORPUS SIREO is an independent, wholly-owned subsidiary of Swiss Life Investment Management Holding AG. [1]

More than 550 employees work at the six divisions at eleven locations in Germany and Luxembourg. CORPUS SIREO Holding GmbH & Co. KG operates as a virtual seventh division, and provides shared services for all locations and units: Accounting & Taxes, Controlling, Human Resources, Information Technology, Internal Audit, Legal Affairs, Marketing/PR, OPC (Organisation, Processes, Compliance) and Treasury.

Investment Management

Investment Management S.à r.l., with registered offices in Luxembourg, designs investment opportunities and investment vehicles under Luxembourg and German investment law for domestic and international investors. Since 2005, this has also included real estate special funds which are initiated and managed from Luxembourg.

CORPUS SIREO Asset Management Commercial GmbH with registered offices in Heusenstamm unlocks the potential of real estate portfolios or investments of international investors, financing banks and companies. Ranging from analysis and valuation as well as management and optimisation right through to marketing, this company cooperates with Asset Management Residential GmbH to provide asset management services for residential and commercial properties.

Asset Management Retail

CORPUS SIREO Asset Management Retail GmbH with registered offices in Düsseldorf offers holistic asset management focusing on value creation for retail properties throughout the entire life cycle. Institutional investors, family offices, banks and special servicers benefit from services such as the positioning of new and repositioning of existing real estate properties on the market, the development or restructuring of concepts for use as well as services for assuring and boosting rental income.

Asset Management Residential

CORPUS SIREO Asset Management Residential GmbH with registered offices in Cologne supports portfolio managers and investors throughout the entire life cycle of residential buildings or larger portfolios: Ranging from analysis, valuation and management right through to marketing, this unit assumes responsibility for the entire range of asset management services for the owners.

Project Development

CORPUS SIREO Projektentwicklung GmbH with registered offices in Cologne, completes approximately 500 residential units every year, with a marketing volume of almost € 200 million. The company adopts a holistic implementation approach - ranging from initial project design and construction right through to the eventual sale to private or institutional investors.

CORPUS SIREO Makler GmbH and CORPUS SIREO Makler Frankfurt GmbH act as agents for commercial and residential properties of investors and portfolio managers. As partners of Sparkasse KölnBonn, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt am Main, the activities of the two companies also focus on sales of residential properties to private clients for owner-occupation or investment purposes.

CORPUS SIREO has established a presence at eleven locations in Germany and in Luxembourg. These include Berlin, Bonn, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, Leipzig, Luxembourg, Munich, Nuremberg and Stuttgart. CORPUS SIREO also manages real estate investments for institutional customers in elevent European countries. The asset management services are provided throughout Germany, whereas the fund products are developed and managed in Luxembourg. Private customers find details of properties for sale for owner-occupation or investment purposes in the branches of Sparkasse KölnBonn, Stadtsparkasse Düsseldorf and Frankfurter Sparkasse.

With € 16 billion in the overall ranking of all asset classes, CORPUS SIREO occupies a leading position in the Bell Real Estate Asset Management Report 2014. This result was established by the Cologne-based consultancy and market observation company. [2]

The "Compliance" magazine has awarded the Corporate Compliance Award Mittelstand 2013 covering the SME sector to CORPUS SIREO. CORPUS SIREO received the award for the successful development and implementation of a Compliance-management system. [3]

In 2012, 2013 and 2014, CORPUS SIREO received the Real Estate Brand Award [4] as the most valuable brand in the asset management field and, in 2014, will receive the award as the most active press office [5] of German real estate companies. The "Top Employer Ranking" 2014, published by Immobilien Zeitung, [6] has again ranked CORPUS SIREO as one of the most important employers in the sector.

== Messen ==CORPUS SIREO attends several exhibitions every year. These include regional real estate exhibitions, as well as international exhibitions such as the MIPIM and MAPIC in Cannes and the Expo Real in Munich.

Cornelius Stiftung

In 2001, CORPUS SIREO and the Zimmer family jointly the "Cornelius Stiftung für Kinder suchtkranker Eltern" (Cornelius Foundation for Children of Addict Parents). The main objective of the foundation is to sponsor children from families with addiction and social problems and thus to provide them with better future prospects. Holistic solutions are developed for the issues of "Addiction of the mother - Sponsoring of the affected child - Mother-child bonding". [7]
