- Was steht denn auf seinem Grabstein? -- MBq Disk 16:56, 17. I have many proofs showing that my Grandfather’s name is OSCAR and not Oskar. First, on our family gravestone in St. Moritz is engraved Oscar. Likewise, he signed on my father’s birth certificate his name with a « c ». Also, on all the medals made for his 70th birthday of which I have several in silver and in bronze his name is also written with a « c ». Lastly, the municipality of St. Moritz changed and corrected the nameplate of the road dedicated to his memory in 2011 when we celebrated his 150th birthday and the 100 years anniversary oh the Samedan hospital he directed. Michael Bernhard (grandson, born in 1940).

Hi Michael! Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. - I'm not questioning your personal knowledge. On the other hand, several 19th and 20th century sources named him "Oskar", we can't put that aside completely. I'd like to suggest keeping both spellings at least in the first sentence, i.e. "Oscar Bernhard, in den Quellen oft 'Oskar' Bernhard (* 24. Mai 1861 in Samedan; † 14. Could you provide a photo of one of the medals? This would prove your point and might illustrate the article, too. -- MBq Disk 13:03, 18. Okt. 2017 (CEST)Beantworten

I have three photos for you as you asked. How do I get them to you? Michael.

Please use the upload wizard tu upload them to Wikimedia's common repository: [2]. This tool will ask for your copyright info (check 'This file is my own work') and licensing (default works well). The last page will provide information how to insert the uploaded images in an article. -- MBq Disk 12:59, 22. Okt. 2017 (CEST)Beantworten

Thank you for the corrections and for adding the photos i sent you (silver medal and gravestone). I really appreciate this immensely. Michel Bernhard.

Don't mention it. - Since you seem to be a fluent or native speaker of English, allow me to point out that en:Oscar Bernhard is still missing. Probably you could write it? -- MBq Disk 18:45, 3. Nov. 2017 (CET)Beantworten
