Das posteriore reversible Enzephalopathie-Syndrom (PRES), auch reversibles posteriores Leukenzephalopathiesyndrom (RPLS), ist gekennzeichnet durch das akute oder subakute Auftreten von Bewußtseinsstörungen, Kopfschmerzen, epileptischen Anfällen und Sehstörungen. Die Symptome sind in ihrer Ausprägung variabel und treten nur selten bei einem Patienten alle zusammen auf.
