What makes “The last knight” special and different are these emotional themes. Steve Jablosky had two hours to fill and quite often he put the thunderous action music in the background and wrote pieces like “Purity of heart” that have that unmistakable “Zimmer buildup” that never fails and might be one of my favourite things in film music.[2]

Am 18. Dezember 2017 gab die Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences bekannt, dass sich Jabloskys Arbeit auf einer Shortlist befindet, aus der die Nominierungen in der Kategorie Beste Filmmusik im Rahmen der Oscarverleihung 2018 erfolgen werden.[3]

Der Soundtrack stieg am 7. Juli 2017 auf Platz 10 in die US-amerikanischen Soundtrack Album-Charts ein.[4]
