Neuigkeiten für Autoren

• Tonfall anpassen hilft Neulingen, Passagen in Wikipedia-Artikeln zu erkennen, die möglicherweise nicht-enzyklopädische Formulierungen enthalten, und regt sie dazu an, den Tonfall anzupassen. Die Funktion wurde in der arabischen, englischen, französischen und portugiesischen Wikipedia einem A/B-Test unterzogen. Dabei stieg die Bearbeitungsquote von Neulingen um 38,7 %, verglichen mit der Standardaufgabe Korrekturlesen, ohne dass die Bearbeitungsqualität beeinträchtigt wurde. Der Test endete am 9. Juli, und die Funktion ist nun für alle Nutzer dieser Wikis verfügbar und kann über die Community-Konfiguration eingerichtet werden. Der Plan sieht vor, Tonfall anpassen in Zukunft in weiteren Wikis einzuführen.
• Die Community-Konfiguration, die die automatische Entfernung inaktiver Mentoren anhand konfigurierbarer Kriterien ermöglicht, wird am Donnerstag, den 16., in einigen Wikis aktiviert, um die Mentorenlisten aktuell zu halten. Mentoren sind erfahrene Beitragende, die sich freiwillig melden, um neuen Nutzern im Wiki über die Growth-Funktionen zu helfen. Administratoren können die Einstellungen jetzt unter Spezial:CommunityConfiguration/Mentorship vorbereiten; sie treten ab Donnerstag in Kraft.
• Sieh dir alle 38 von der Community eingereichten Tasks an, die letzte Woche gelöst wurden. Beispielsweise wurde ein Problem behoben, bei dem einige Nutzer der Wikipedia-Android-App direkt nach dem Anmelden wieder abgemeldet wurden und somit nicht angemeldet bleiben und Seiten bearbeiten konnten.

Neuigkeiten für technisch Beitragende

• Das Bearbeiten einer Seite über Benutzerskripte oder Helferleins führte dazu, dass die vom Benutzer dieser Seite zugewiesenen Beobachtungslisten-Labels zurückgesetzt wurden. Dieses Problem wurde nun behoben.
• Um einen Safari-Fehler zu umgehen (siehe phab:T425211), verwenden Wikis, in denen Parsoid aktiviert ist, nun absolute statt protokollrelativer URLs für Wikilinks. Die Ausgabe der REST-API bleibt unverändert und verwendet weiterhin protokollrelative URLs. Helferleins, Benutzerskripte, Bots und CSS müssen gegebenenfalls angepasst werden, falls sie auf protokollrelative URLs in Wikilinks angewiesen sind.
