list of the "de:Kategorie:Kritik (Literaturgattung)" category

Hello,

The Kategorie:Kritik (Literaturgattung) has some sub-categories which don't relate with Literaturgattung. Maybe create a new upper category Kategorie:Kritik and move into that new category next categories - Kategorie:Filmkritik, Kategorie:Musikkritik, etc. --Averaver 20:17, 16. Jan. 2011 (CET)

AWB confusion

Apparently Wikipedia:AWB#.281.29_Registrieren is causing some confusion. We just got a request for registration at en.wiki from someone that edits primarily here. Could someone check the local page and clarify if necessary? Thanks.--Chaser (disk.) 21:09, 31. Jan. 2011 (CET)

Other sections of that page may be causing confusion, too. I cannot tell enough with google translate to know what.--Chaser (disk.) 21:11, 31. Jan. 2011 (CET)

Map of Taurus Mountains

Hi! It would be nice to use this map. Can you move it to Commons? May you tell me, in case you do it? --Pequod76 14:17, 3. Mär. 2011 (CET)

This file is currently under observation, because the permission isn't okay yet. Thus a commmons transfer has to wait. --32X 14:26, 3. Mär. 2011 (CET)
Ok, thanks. --Pequod76 02:24, 4. Mär. 2011 (CET)

Copyright coin images

These images uploaded here by Benutzer:19Juni1979 show coins which are copyright (see commons:Commons:Currency#United Kingdom and commons:Template:PD-UKGov):

Datei:1 krone 1942 daenemark.jpg probably is, and the others are not copyright, so I've tagged them to be moved to Commons, where the copyright status of the coins should be indicated with commons:Template:PD-UKGov. —innotata 20:48, 5. Apr. 2011 (CEST)

Re [1], U. K. coins are in copyright for 50 years after publication, so the coins listed above are copyright, but those I tagged with {{Commonsfähig}} are not. —innotata 01:57, 9. Apr. 2011 (CEST)
I see - you've listed only the copyrighted ones - and the not copyrighted ones are at user's gallery (tag "commonsfähig"). Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 02:19, 9. Apr. 2011 (CEST)
The Danish coin will be out of copyright in 2013, if it is not already, because of the date the design was introduced (per commons:Commons:Deletion requests/Money of Denmark); the 1967 coin might be public domain at the start of 2012 (since the coin design was introduced in 1962). —innotata 18:59, 8. Wikipedia:Fototipps

This is a very useful page and should be made avaiable in other languages. Would anyone care to translate this into English and post it onto Commons or the English Wikipedia? Thanks, King of Hearts 01:04, 28. Apr. 2011 (CEST)

Indeed - this page should move to Commons. Translating all is quite a big, big task and requires to be translated by someone who knows the correct terms in English (so it has probably to be done by an photo expert). But moving to Commons would be a first step. There are even about 15 pictures stored locally and not on Commons - they have to be moved first (if possible). I will probably move this idea to Wikipedia Diskussion:Fototipps tomorrow. Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 03:11, 28. Apr. 2011 (CEST)

→ moved. I will give you a note on your enwp talk page when there is any big progress. --Saibo (Δ) 01:58, 29. Apr. 2011 (CEST)

I'm looking for assistance - regarding conflict of interest

Hi. I'm a user of en.wikipedia, and a member of this Wiki also. I was looking in Spezial:LetzeÄnderungen and noticed edits to a page about Michael A. Grimm - I read and write some German, and I understood it that the person editing the article appeared to be the subject of it, judging by their username.

I don't know what is the rule here, but on en.wikipedia, the subject of an article is not allowed to self promote when they edit an article, it's a conflict of interest. Could you tell me if your rules here are the same please? I was concerned that the user editing the work might be not in line with your policy. Thank you. BarkingFish 00:39, 6. Jun. 2011 (CEST)

You can find details about that topic in Wikipedia:Interessenkonflikt. Basically someone can edit an article about himself, as long as he takes care of the neutral point of view. If you think someone is writing about himself, you should closely monitor the edits and - if necessary - talk to the user or revert the edits. Greetings --Wkpd 00:49, 6. Jun. 2011 (CEST)
Thank you Wkpd. I will watch the changes closely, and read the page on Interest conflicts so that I understand your local rules regarding these edits. Mit freundliche grüßen, BarkingFish 00:55, 6. Jun. 2011 (CEST)

Please, create the "catmain" template.

Please, create the "catmain" template. Or say the name the same template in German Wiki. I think that template will be useful for all users. --Averaver 19:24, 11. Jul. 2011 (CEST)

What is the catmain template? en:template:catmain? The main article is usually sorted first in the category. Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 20:37, 11. Jul. 2011 (CEST)
Yes, of course. But, that Page en:Category:English language is slightly more useful than de:Kategorie:Englische Sprache. --Averaver 14:52, 12. Jul. 2011 (CEST)
Thanks. However, I personally do not see the need for this - especially not the need for a template. Cheers --Saibo (Δ) 17:50, 12. Jul. 2011 (CEST)

Jimdo

I understand that in the past not enough info has been found regarding Jimdo, the German webhost. Based on the current status of en:Jimdo on EN, I would like to request the creation of an article about Jimdo. What other steps on DE do I need to take in order to facilitate the creation of the article in German? WhisperToMe 02:58, 8. Aug. 2011 (CEST)

Japanese language stuff from Japanese consulate in Hamburg

For those of you who work on Japan articles, I found: http://www.hamburg.emb-japan.go.jp/kultur/jaeb/dinfo657.html

It talks about the Japanese language and aspects of it. I know it mentions naming order since it used the Look Japan article I was working on WhisperToMe 15:50, 11. Okt. 2011 (CEST)
