Die Parlamentswahl in den Niederlanden 2017 wird am 15. März 2017 stattfinden.[1] Vorbehaltlich einer vorzeitigen Auflösung des Parlaments ist ein früherer Wahltermin möglich.

Stand 16. März 2016[3]

Bei den Wahlen 2012 konnte die rechtsliberale Volkspartij voor Vrijheid en Democratie mit ihrem Spitzenkandidaten Mark Rutte vor der sozialdemokratischen Partij van de Arbeid um Diederik Samson klar stärkste Kraft werden. Die rechtspopulistische Partij voor de Vrijheid verlor ein Drittel ihrer Wählerstimmen und landete nur knapp vor der Socialistische Partij. Der Christen Democratisch Appèl, 2006 noch stärkste Partei, verlor wie bereits 2010 stark an Zustimmung und fiel auf das schlechteste Ergebnis seiner Geschichte zurück. Die Democraten 66, die ChristenUnie und die Staatkundig Gereformeerde Partij konnten ihre Ergebnisse in etwa halten, während die GroenLinks klare Verluste einfuhr und das schlechteste Ergebnis ihrer Geschichte erreichte. Auch der Partij voor de Dieren und der 50PLUS gelang der Einzug ins Parlament.

Infolge des schlechten Ergebnisses ihrer Partei trat die Parteivorsitzende von GroenLinks, Jolande Sap, von ihrem Amt zurück. Mark Rutte (VVD) wurde im Rahmen einer Koalition zwischen VVD und PvdA zum neuen Premierminister ernannt.

Umfragen in den Niederlanden werden von den meisten Meinungsforschungsinstituten nicht im prozentualen Ergebnis für die Partei, sondern in der Anzahl der Sitze für die Partei, die ihr nach dem prozentualen Ergebnis zustünden, angegeben. Einige wenige Meinungsforschungsinstitute (hauptsächlich Ipsos) veröffentlichen allerdings auch prozentuale Ergebnisse neben den Sitzprognosen.
