Die People's Democratic Organisation for Independence and Socialism (PDOIS) (deutsch Demokratische Volksorganisation für Unabhängigkeit und Sozialismus) ist eine radikale sozialistische politische Partei in Gambia. Der Wahlspruch der Partei lautet: englisch „Liberty, dignity and Prosperity“ = „Freiheit, Würde und Wohlstand“.

Geschichte

Bei den Präsidentschaftswahlen vom 18. Oktober 2001 kam ihr Anführer Sidia Jatta an die fünfte Stelle mit 3,2 Prozent der Stimmen. Bei den letzten Parlamentswahlen für die National Assembly am 17. Januar 2002 gewann die Partei drei von 48 Sitzen.
