Ethnozentrismus

Hallo, es ist ja sehr schön, dass Du findest, dass Menschenrassen biologisch nicht existieren. Es geht hier aber um einen Text über Soziologie, nicht um Biologie. "Rasse" ist hier kein Begriff der biologischen Wissenschaft, sondern nimmt als deskriptiver Term in der sozialen Lebenswelt verbreitete Alltagstheorien auf. Und ein Soziologe kann sehr wohl davon überzeugt sein, dass "Rassen" (wie auch immer definiert) in der Gesellschaft als Vorstellungen verbreitet und daher soziologisch relevant sind. Es geht in unserem Falle um die Wiedergabe soziologischer Begriffskonstruktionen; dabei solltest Du Dich nicht davon beeinflussen lassen, was Du als objektive Wahrheit wissen tust. Anders gesagt: Wenn jemand sich durch "Rasse" von anderen Personen abgrenzt und seine Identität dergleichen konstruiert, kann man mit Sumner von "Ethnozentrismus" sprechen. Wenn Du den Term hier irrelevant findet, dann weise nach, dass er bei Sumner (oder anderen Soziologen) fehlt. Da Sumner explizit als "Sozialdarwinist" figuriert, sieht die Evidenz dafür eher mau aus. --meffo 07:02, 20. Jan. 2012 (CET)

Rasse wird in der deutschen Alltagssprache im gegensatz zum englischen ausschließlich biologisch verstanden. Falls das ein Fachbegriff ist, sollte das nicht ohne anmerkung in der einleitung stehen, da dies so niemand richtig versteht..--Trockennasenaffe 07:10, 20. Jan. 2012 (CET)
Ich will nicht sagen, dass "Rasse" unbedingt ein soziologischer Fachbegriff sei, sondern dass ihn viele Soziologen entsprechend ihrer methodischen Analyse handlungsrelevanter Alltagsbegriffe (vgl. auch Situationsdefinition) benutzen (besser gesagt: über den Ausdruck reden, also eigentlich metasprachlich). Banal gesagt: Wenn Du das Benutzen des Begriffs "Rasse" verbieten willst, dürfte eine Auseinandersetzung mit "Rassismus" völlig unmöglich sein. Wie soll man übrigens dann "Rassist" definieren?! - Ich sehe natürlich ein gewisses Problem darin, dass ein unbedarfter oder oberflächlicher Leser den Ausdruck "Rasse" als biologisch legitim aufnimmt, weil er eben hier in seriösem Kontext so dasteht. Aus dem Artikelzusammenhang sollte allerdings klar sein, dass hier auf einen soziologischen Autor und dessen Begriff rekurriert wird; außerdem wird auf den speziellen Artikel "Rassismus" im Anschluss verwiesen. Ich wüsste nicht, wie man den Artikel noch narrensicherer machen könnte, ohne über "Rasse" mehr zu schreiben als über das eigentliche Artikelthema. --meffo 18:51, 20. Jan. 2012 (CET)
Ich will die Benutzung des Begriffs überhaupt nicht verbieten. Ich möchte nur, dass sich der Text von dem Begriff distanziert und ihn sich nicht unkritisch zu eigen macht. Die von dir behauptete metasprachlichkeit konnte ich in der Einleitung gerade nicht erkennen. Ich denke dabei auch nicht, dass ich dem Durchschnittsleser an Auffassungsgabe und Vorkentnissen unterlegen bin. Da es um die soziokulturelle Selbstzuordnung geht, wäre doch ohnehin der Begriff Ethnie viel passenden zumal es um Ethnozentrismus geht. Der Begriff Rasse taucht im restlichen Artikel nie wieder auf, so dass er offenbar überhaupt keine entscheidende Rolle im Diskurs über Ethnozentrismus spielt.--Trockennasenaffe 21:12, 20. Ich meine, es geht hier nicht um politische Korrektheit, sondern um den Sprachgebrauch von Soziologen, insbesondere um desjenigen, der den Begriff eingeführt hat. Man darf in einer Enyzklopädie einem Autor doch nicht etwas unterschieben, was ihm nicht angehört bzw. "modern" interpretieren, was auf dasselbe hinausläuft. Oder etwas weglassen, was relevant ist. Was Du unter dem Begriff verstanden wissen möchtest, ist Deine Sache. Ich will aber darüber nachdenken, ob man in ein oder zwei hinzugefügten Sätzen Deinem Anliegen gerecht werden kann. --meffo 09:43, 21. Jan. 2012 (CET)

Wikidata

Hallo Trockennasenaffe, ich glaube, es wäre sinnvoll, die an diversen Stellen verteilten (An-)Forderungen nochmals auf WP:Projektdiskussion/Wikidata zusammenzufassen, idealerweise, sobald die Diskussion im Kurier keine wesentlichen neuen Erkenntnisse mehr bringt, wobei man dann die tw. ins Unreine geschriebenen Gedankengänge besser ausformulieren sollte. Prinzipiell ist das genau das, was ich bei der Diskussion im Kurier vorgeschlagen habe. Ich halte es nach wie vor für sehr hilfreich die Diskussionen zusammenzuführen. Wenn man hin und wieder die Kernpunkte zusammenfasst und festhält, vermeidet man möglicherweise auch, dass sich dieselben Diskussionen immer wiederhohlen was ansonsten bei zeitlich und räumlich ausgedehnten Diskussionen oft der Fall ist.--Trockennasenaffe (Diskussion) 08:58, 13.     • Added selenium tests for undo, rollback, restore, diffs, old revisions, history and a few more
    • Setup MAC to be part of our selenium grid testing environment
    • Fixed many little bugs in the UI, including cross browser issues

    • The repository part of the demo system had — believe it or not — too many entries from user and bot activity, apparently making it difficult to find a page to create. We truncated and filled it with about 100 chemical elements again
    • Started to implement new layout: this includes restructuring DOM and introducing an action column
    • Started refactoring of selenium tests layout
    • Finished most of the core of the phase 2 data model implementation
    • Created abstract storage interface for the repository
    • Started generalizing the secondary storage to work for all types of entities
    • Picked up work on the ContentHandler again, addressing concerns voiced by WMF staff and tying up loose ends
    • Started work on edit collision detection, will be changed as we observed unexpected side effects

    • Worked on version 2 of generic site handling in MediaWiki incorporating feedback from wikitech and mediawiki.org, as well as updating the WIkibase code to match
    • Rewrote SQLStore to accommodate phase 2 and phase 3 of Wikidata
    • Added maintenance script for rebuilding the store data
    • Implemented action column in user interface. All buttons for user-interaction are now aligned on the right side (for ltr-languages).
    • The language-code is now shown in a separate column in the site-links table
    • Started implementing sorting for site-link table columns
    • Lots of cleanup in JavaScript code
    • Edit conflict detection in a simple form is in place
    • Some minor changes to the API to support conflict detection, mostly “lastrevid” and “baserevid”

Ein fehlendes schliessendes nowiki...

... war der Grund dafür, dass hier deine Unterschrift nicht funktionierte. Als ich darauf antwortete, funktionierte dementsprechend auch meine Unterschrift nicht. Mit der Antwort von JøMa wurden die Tilden als Unterschriften aktiv und deine und meine Beiträge also fälschlich von JøMa unterzeichnet... mein Versuch, das zu fixen, kam in Konflikt mit einem Edit von Oliver S.Y., aber jetzt sollte alles stimmen, hoffe ich ;-) Gestumblindi 22:13, 2. Hi Trockennasenaffe, da du dich ja auch für die Themengebiete evolutionärer Humanismus, Philosophie und Co. interessierst, wollte ich dich fragen, ob du evtl. Lust hast, dich an der Diskussion zum Artikel Jenseits von Gut und Böse (Schmidt-Salomon) zu beteiligen? Heftig! Da gibt es jetzt einen Artikel zu einem meiner Lieblingbücher und ich bekomme das überhaupt nicht mit. Ich hatte den Artikel im Februar 2012 angelegt und bis zum Löschversuch einer IP war der Artikel vielen wohl unbekannt. Streisand-Effekt nennt man so was wohl ;) Das mit den Rezensionen hat sich wohl erledigt, mal schauen, vielleicht tut sich ja noch was. Danke für den Hinweis! Die Seite kenne ich schon. Ich wollte auch immer mal kommen, konnte mich aber bisher nie durchringen. Das nächste Treffen ist auch etwas kurzfristig. Letzter Aufruf...

Hallo !

Du hast vor einiger Zeit das Wikipedia:Meinungsbilder/Belegpflicht bei Sperrbegründungen unterstützt.

Seither wurde ausgiebigst darüber diskutiert und der Meinungsbildtext verändert. Das Meinungsbild wird voraussichtlich am 15.9.2012 um 12:00 Uhr beginnen. Gemäß den Richtlinien soll ich Dich informieren, dass Änderungen stattgefunden haben.

Der Artikel und die Diskussion werden auch von deklarierten Gegnern des Meinungsbildes heimgesucht und ständig manipuliert. Gemäß meiner Auflage des Schiedsgerichts darf ich Revertierungen im Artikel nicht selbst wieder korrigieren, sondern bin verpflichtet, alles lang und breit auf der Diskussionsseite zu besprechen, wo dann die Revertierer oft durch Abwesenheit glänzen und keine Lösung sich abzeichnet (da sie auch diese Auflagen kennen).

Strittig sind noch immer

Bitte lies nocheinmal den Meinungsbildtext durch (Link zur Projektseite), verbessere den Text oder beteilige Dich an der Diskussion.

Am Besten wäre, Du signierst bei den Unterstützern neuerlich, damit das Datum dort aktualisiert wird ! ? !

    • Deployed new code on wikidata.org. All changes can be found here
    • Updated demo system
    • http://test2.wikipedia.org now uses http://wikidata.org for getting language links and wikidata.org edits affecting the existing articles on test2 show up in RecentChanges (if they are not hidden)
    • Statements (think of “population: 2.000.000” and similar things) are taking shape in the interface. They are still pretty buggy though at this point.
    • It is now possible to link to images on Wikimedia Commons in a statement (think of “image: sundown_at_the_beach.png” for example)
    • Links are now protocol-relative (bugzilla:42534)
    • No longer possible to create new items and set labels when database is set to read-only
    • Added more tests to the GeoCoordinate parser
    • Make use of EditEntity in removeclaims API
    • Removed many singletons to reduce global state
    • Made SpecialSetLabel work with non-item entities
    • Improved settings system
    • Improved options of ValueFormatters
    • Improved options of ValueParsers
    • Moved label+description uniqueness check out of transaction to avoid deadlocks and changed it to only be enforced for edits changing any violating values

    • A bunch of messages for autocomments were fixed (they are automatically added as an edit summary for edits on items and co in Wikidata - for example: “‎Changed [en] description: Finnish rock band”)
