Suffolk County ist ein County im Bundesstaat New York, das etwa die östliche Hälfte von Long Island einnimmt. Bei der Volkszählung im Jahr 2000 hatte das County 1.419.369 Einwohner und eine Bevölkerungsdichte von 601 Einwohnern pro Quadratkilometer. Der Verwaltungssitz (County Seat) ist Riverhead.

Geographie

Das County hat eine Fläche von 6.146 Quadratkilometern, wovon 3.784 Quadratkilometer Wasserfläche sind. Im Westen grenzt es an das Nassau County.
