Die Communauté d’agglomération du Pays Basque ist ein französischer Gemeindeverband mit der Rechtsform einer Communauté d’agglomération im Département Pyrénées-Atlantiques in der Region Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Sie wurde am 13. Juli 2016 gegründet und umfasst 158 Gemeinden. Der Verwaltungssitz befindet sich in der Stadt Bayonne.[2]

Historische Entwicklung

Der Gemeindeverband entstand mit Wirkung vom 1. Januar 2017 durch die Fusion der Vorgängerorganisationen

  • Communauté d’agglomération Côte Basque-Adour,
  • Communauté d’agglomération Sud Pays Basque,
  • Communauté de communes Errobi,
  • Communauté de communes d’Amikuze,
  • Communauté de communes du Pays de Bidache,
  • Communauté de communes de Garazi-Baigorri,
  • Communauté de communes du Pays d’Hasparren,
  • Communauté de communes d’Iholdi-Ostibarre,
  • Communauté de communes Nive-Adour und
  • Communauté de communes de Soule-Xiberoa.
